What is Ritual? Ritual is the act of consciously opening ourselves to the presence of Spirit. The word “ritual” is derived from the Sanskrit word “rtu” which means “any act of magic toward a purpose”. Ritual helps us connect with our spiritual nature. There comes a moment when we realize we are in union with something bigger than ourselves.
What makes a ritual meaningful is attention, awareness, and presence. By bringing our full selves and our awareness of the present moment into ritual, we enter into it in a way that is likely to confer meaning and power.
Occasions for Ritual Rituals can be used to open the heart or mind, to ground, to center, to connect, to weave together, to close, to heal, or to ask for help.
Rituals can be held to mark beginnings such as birth or entering adolescence. They can mark endings like divorce, moving away, or graduating from school. Some rituals are to invoke healing: emotional, spiritual, or physical. Rituals can mark rites of passage, such as birthdays, pregnancy, or buying a home. Rituals also honor mergings such as marriage or friendship. They also mark cycles such as Equinox and Solstice ceremonies or Full Moon circles.
These are significant milestones. Creating ritual for them adds meaning and substance to our lives. Contact us if you are interested in learning more about ritual. We can create your personal ritual based on your interests, needs, and wants.
My Vision My vision is to call forth people who are feeling separate and crave meaningful relationships. I want to see people gathering and talking about the things that matter most to them. I want them to feel respected, honored, and heard. My intention is to create the space to feel safe to explore the meaning of their lives. I want people to live the lives they want to live, to feel fulfilled, balanced, peaceful and energized and to inspire others. I want them to feel seen and to witness others .
Safe and Sacred Space There is a longing within us - a longing for a more intentional community in which to grow spiritually, yearning for communion with other women and a real intimacy. Women’s Spirituality Circles are places for rediscovering, liberating, sparking, and nurturing all of our gifts. They are like “Containers of Emergence”.
Circles connect and focus energy. They are a safe place because no one is attempting to heal or convert you, to fix you, or to change you. Instead members accept you as you are. You can let down your defenses and be yourself. It is a heartfelt place where women are accepted without judgement, supported on life’s journey. We become more alive as our connection with what makes us alive grows. We become clearer about who we really are.
Circle Ideas Spirituality Book Clubs Spirituality Book Clubs take the idea of the traditional book club and add a spin to it. The idea of it being a spirituality based group is to focus on literature that inspires us, challenges us, and perhaps opens us to a new perspective. The intention is Spiritual Development - anything that deepens or broadens our sense of connection, anything that helps us become clearer about our own way of channeling Spirit through us and onto the planet.
Seasonal / Lunar Cycle Circles Honoring the cycles of nature can be a powerful way of connecting with ourselves, each other, and re-enchanting ourselves with the earth. Celebrating the meaning of the seasons on the Solstices and Equinoxes is a way of honoring the ways in which the cycles of nature are mirrored in our lives. For example, a Spring Equinox Circle could focus on new beginnings, nurturing the soil for an upcoming project. Lunar Circles are a way of connecting to the energy of the moon. They can meet on every new moon to set an intention for the upcoming lunar cycle or on every full moon to reflect on the past cycle and share learnings.
Women’s Circles The essence of Women’s Circles is all about finding, trusting, speaking, and sharing the truth of one’s experience. The gifts that these circles offer us include shifts of perception, different ways of seeing, getting unstuck, knowing that you’re not alone, making deep connections, and feeling a sense of being home. Circles create a growing freedom to rediscover and express ourselves.

“What would it be like to listen to each other about what disturbs or troubles us? Or what gives us energy or hope? If we can together and talk about what’s important to us, we begin to come alive. We need to reclaim time to be together- it only requires imagination , courage , and faith.” -Margaret Wheatley, Turning to One Another
If you want to participate in a circle in your area or start a new one, contact us and we can explore ways to support you in finding or starting a circle-connecting you to others who have similar interests.
